Frequently Asked Questions

Can I install WeatherCal on multiple computers?

Yes. The WeatherCal license allows you to install and use WeatherCal on as many computers as you own, as long as you are the only person using it at any given time.

Please note that if you sync your calendars with MobileMe, we recommend that you install WeatherCal on only one of the computers that have synced calendars. Your WeatherCal events will sync like all other events, and will show up on all synced calendars.

Does WeatherCal work on the iPhone or iPod Touch?

You can synchronize any calendar created by WeatherCal with your iPhone or iPod touch; each time you synchronize, your iPhone or iPod touch will get the latest calendar changes from the computer.

Note, however, that WeatherCal itself does not run on the iPhone or iPod touch.

Can I use MobileMe to synchronize WeatherCal calendars between multiple computers?

Yes. However, we recommend that you install WeatherCal on only one of the computers that have synced calendars. Your WeatherCal events will sync like all other events, and will show up on all synced calendars.

How do I control whether WeatherCal displays temperatures in Fahrenheit or Celsius?

The temperatures are displayed in US or Metric units depending on the setting in your International preferences. See the “International” system preferences, in the “Formats” tab. At the bottom there’s a setting for “Measurement Units”. Choose “US” to use Fahrenheit, “Metric” to use Celsius. The next time WeatherCal updates (once per hour) the temperature units in the weather events will change.

How often does WeatherCal update the forecasts?

WeatherCal fetches new forecast data once per hour.
